Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Inventory Quantifier

Now Available
CSA Standards is now accepting applications for the GHG Inventory Quantifier certification.
This certification was developed by a panel of industry experts to assess professionals who will be responsible for corporate or facility-based GHG inventory development, quantification and reporting.
With the demand for GHG professionals expected to rise rapidly over the next five years, certification to an internationally recognized program will demonstrate an individual's competence to quantify, assess and report GHG emissions. CSA Standards' certification examination assesses the candidate's knowledge in:
- Understanding of GHG inventory boundary setting (organizational, geographical, temporal and operational boundaries)
- Understanding of how to plan a GHG inventory process
- Use of data to calculate and analyze emission results
- Compilation and organization of documentation and preparation of reports.
All of CSA Standards' GHG Management certifications have been developed and are operated and maintained under the structure of the international standard for development of personnel certification programs - ISO 17024 Conformity assessment - General requirements for bodies operating certification of persons.
The certification cost is $595 which includes the $95 application fee. There are no pre-requisites for this certification, although it is anticipated that candidates will have one year of GHG experience. Candidates interested in becoming certified may download a copy of the certification handbook from this page.
